International Workshop
Bad Liebenzell, Germany, December 11 - 14, 2003

For the interpretation of the measurements of the fluorescence component of ultra-high energy air showers a precise knowledge of the air fluorescence efficiency and its dependence on particle energy and atmospheric parameters is mandatory.
At present, a number of groups worldwide are pursuing air fluorescence yield measurements in a wide energy range and using quite a variety of experimental techniques.

Following the very successful "First International Workshop on Air Fluorescence" held in Salt Lake City in October 2002, a workshop was held in Germany in December 2003. The main focus of this workshop was the discussion of ongoing and planned experiments.
